It’s true that cancer and its treatments can increase complication from massage. Due to this massage techniques may need to be adapted if you are on active cancer treatment, have bone fractures, bony disease, heart problems, active tumors/ skin lesions to ensure that every session is safe and effective. This makes it extremely important for the practitioner to have specialist training.

Why choose us?

All treatments are delivered by an oncology physiotherapist, with specialist knowledge of cancer rehabilitation, oncology treatments and their side effects. They have additional accredited training in oncology massage, allowing for safe, tailored treatments.

Can we adapt treatments?

Of Course! As mentioned above, sometimes for medical reasons we have to adapt the massage, however we can also adapt to your wishes/needs. For example, you can choose a specific area of the body to work on, the position you receive the massage in ie. Lying down, sitting up, on your side etc.

It is important to speak to your Oncology Consultant or Specialist Nurse before using massage therapy.
